Greg appreciates knowledge and is focused on reaching for the outermost edge of his potential in all things. After his retirement from the USA National Team and professional water polo in Europe and Australia, he felt starting his financial advising career with the Orange County Prudential office was going to be a great start. He felt that office would provide him an opportunity to a wide array of information, experiences, and mentors. That it definitely did, and during his nearly five years at Prudential he utilized nearly every product available to him: managing investments through a multitude of tax designation, writing annuity contracts of varying types, and placing permanent and term life insurance policy through numerous companies. He showed clear aptitude for maximizing returns, minimizing taxes, and making sure his clients were protected from of any unseen dangers.
The idea of transitioning to Osaic Wealth, Inc. and LAP Wealth Management started in 2021 during a trip back to his small farm in his childhood home in Central California. He had a chance run-in with Luka Pavlina which started the conversation about a partnership between Greg, LAP Wealth, and Royal Alliance. After learning more about LAP Wealth’s infrastructure, mission, and access to more financial tools, joining Osaic Wealth, Inc./LAP Wealth was an undisputable win for his clients and thus the correct move for his family. When asked why is he in the financial advising industry, he points back to his upbring. “Growing up in a small farm town with my parents in the medical field I came face to face with an innumerable amount of people whose lives were positively impacted by my parents and I wanted to have a similar opportunity. If I could condense what I learned, it would be these three things:
- Competence: Be there for people when they are unable to do it themselves
- Responsibility: Actions have lifelong lasting results, so always do your best.
- Character: Be guided by the highest morale code in everything you do.”
In Greg’s personal life, his most cherished achievement is his marriage with his long-time friend and fellow water polo player Ilektra Psouni from Greece in 2019. They now live on 5 acres in Central California with 16 chickens, two large gardens, and a dog named Odin. They spend their free time doing work around the house, traveling, and mentoring and coaching athletes of all ages from across the United States. They are excited to announce they planning on having their first child within the next year.
